In the Fall of 2023, our family faced an unprecedented challenge as we found ourselves navigating the complexities of the sandwich generation. While managing the demands of our own family, we were also called upon to support our aging parents through a period of significant transitions, including moving, hospitalizations, and estate management. Amid the uncertainty and stress, we took a step back to evaluate the situation and approach it methodically—one step at a time.
Our first priority was to ensure that our parents’ living environment was clean, comfortable, and safe, allowing them to focus on their health, recovery, and other important matters while providing peace of mind. The relief this brought to them was invaluable, alleviating much of the emotional and physical strain they were under.

Witnessing the positive effects this had on their well-being sparked our curiosity about how a similar approach could benefit a business setting. Joey began engaging with maintenance staff and discovered that a clean, organized environment also led to more effective operations and happier employees, as they were able to focus on their work without the distraction of clutter.
Inspired by the profound impact this experience had on our family, we decided to take this heartfelt lesson and turn it into something bigger—leading to the founding of Express Cleaning Services. Established in 2023 by Joey and Amber Bunyan, our mission is to help create clean spaces that foster clarity and peace of mind.
